How to Use Arshara Finance: A Beginner's Guide
Arshara Finance is a personal money manager for Android: track income and expenses, manage accounts, plan bills, and see clear reports — all free, private and ad-free. This guide walks you through everything from installing the app to using its advanced features.
1. Download and install the app
The easiest way is Google Play: search for Arshara Finance and tap Install. You can also use the Direct APK download link on www.arsharafin.com.
- When you open the APK file, your phone may ask permission to install apps from unknown sources — allow it, then tap Install.
- If the file downloads with a .bin ending (Google Drive does this), rename it to .apk before opening it.
2. Create your account
Open the app and you'll see the login screen. If you're new:
- Tap Register.
- Enter your full name, email address and a password (at least 6 characters).
- Tap Register again to finish.
Prefer not to type a password? Tap Sign in with Google and choose your Google account — it takes a few seconds.
Tip: keep your password safe. Your data is stored securely behind your own login — never share your password with anyone.
3. Meet the five main screens
The menu bar at the bottom of the app takes you everywhere you need:
- Dashboard — your total balance and income-vs-expense picture at a glance.
- Transactions — the full list of every income and expense entry.
- Accounts — your accounts (Cash, Bank, etc.). Use the + button to add a new one.
- Reports — charts showing where your money goes, by category.
- Settings — your profile, currency, security options and more.
4. Add your first transaction
This is the core habit of using the app — record your money in and out:
- Open the Transactions screen and tap the + button (Add Transaction).
- Choose the type: Income, Expense or Transfer.
- Select the account the money came from or went to.
- Pick a category (Salary, Food, Rent, Transport…).
- Enter the amount and, optionally, a note.
- Tap Save — the entry now appears in your Transactions list and updates your Dashboard.
5. Set up your accounts
Under Accounts you can keep Cash, Bank, Wallet or any other account you use — each can even have its own currency. Tap + Add account, give it a name, choose the type and currency, and enter the starting balance. This keeps your net worth accurate across all your money.
6. Track bills and recurring transactions
- Bills — add upcoming bills with due dates (rent, electricity, internet) so nothing slips through.
- Recurring transactions — for things that repeat monthly, like salary or rent. Set them once and the app reminds you.
7. Understand your money with Reports
The Reports screen breaks down your spending by category and shows account activity over time. Check it at the end of each month to see exactly where your money went — and where you want it to go next month.
8. Handy extra features
- Exchange rates — check current currency conversion rates, handy when you deal in more than one currency.
- Portfolio & Fixed Assets — track investments and valuable assets.
- Loan Calculator — calculate loan instalments before you commit.
- Tags — label transactions your own way for smarter searching.
- Family — link family members' accounts for a shared view.
- Notifications — get reminders for bills and due dates.
- Data Export — export your data (PDF/CSV/JSON) as a backup or for your own records.
