This Privacy Policy explains how Arshara Finance ("we", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Arshara Finance application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your financial data safe.
2 Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password (stored securely, hashed — never in plain text).
- Financial data: transactions, accounts, bills, budgets, categories and other records you enter into the App.
- Session information: refresh tokens used to keep you signed in on your device.
3 How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's features.
- To keep your account secure and prevent unauthorised access.
- To sync your data across your own devices.
4 Google Sign-In
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never receive or store your Google password. Google's own privacy policy applies to the sign-in process itself.
5 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on our secure server. All communication between the App and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed before storage, and we follow standard security practices to protect your information.
6 Data Sharing
We never sell your data. We do not share your personal or financial information with third parties, except where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
7 Your Rights
- You can access and correct your information at any time from the App (Settings → Edit Profile).
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
8 Data Retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — transactions, accounts, bills, settings and sessions — is permanently removed from our servers.
9 Backup & Export
The App offers backup and export features (JSON backup, CSV and PDF exports). These files are created from your own data and downloaded to your device. You are responsible for keeping downloaded backup files secure.
10 Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, shown in the App.
